Oh, I'd love to hear some of those hilarious stories! If elderberries are anything like pokeberries, I can only imagine. I've only ever used them as tincture base (wine or with vodka). Either way you don't want to take too much, it's pretty strong stuff. For straight juice I'm more fond of pomegranate. And for teas and C, I've a big stand of well-trimmed wild roses for hips.
