We do not buy any foods that come from other countries except for bananas (that's because I don't think they are even grown in this country). We once bought a watermelon that was from Mexico. It make us all sick but we didn't put 2 and 2 together. We ended up eating the other half and got sick AGAIN! LOL! Check your fish too...tons of it is from China. It's almost impossible to get fish raised in the US. I’m so sorry you got sick.
